Front End Developer Lead

About the Role

As a Frontend Developer Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and

overseeing the architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance eCommerce

storefronts. You will work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, designers,

backend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless and engaging digital customer

experiences.

Key Responsibilities

ï‚· Define and maintain the frontend architecture for enterprise-grade eCommerce platforms

built with React, Next.js, or other modern frameworks.

ï‚· Lead the technical evaluation and implementation of eCommerce platforms such as

Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Commercetools, SAP Commerce, or similar.

ï‚· Collaborate with backend teams to design and build scalable RESTful APIs and

microservices integrations (ERP, CMS, OMS, Payment Gateways).

ï‚· Manage and mentor frontend teams, fostering collaboration and driving coding

excellence, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.

ï‚· Engage with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers, and Business

Stakeholders to translate business goals into digital solutions.

ï‚· Enforce security best practices and performance tuning for production-grade web

applications.

ï‚· Ensure solutions are modular, maintainable, and scalable across multiple geographies

and brands.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 8–10 years of experience in frontend development with at least 3+ years in architectural

or lead roles.

ï‚· Hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and modern build

pipelines (Webpack, Vite, etc.).

ï‚· Deep understanding of eCommerce business workflows, shopping carts, product

catalogs, checkout flows, promotions, and customer accounts.

ï‚· Proven track record in implementing or integrating with Salesforce Commerce Cloud,

Commercetools, or other headless commerce platforms.

ï‚· Strong knowledge of API development and consumption, including RESTful and

GraphQL APIs.

ï‚· Experience working in agile environments and collaborating across cross-functional

teams.

ï‚· Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, Cloud hosting (AWS/GCP/Azure), and

Monitoring/Alerting for frontend applications.

ï‚· Passion for performance tuning, accessibility, responsive design, and UX best practices.

ï‚· Familiarity with JAMstack architectures and edge delivery/CDN strategies (e.g., Alokai,

Vercel, Netlify).

ï‚· Exposure to CMS integrations like Builder.io, Contentful, or Sanity.

ï‚· Understanding of SEO, analytics tagging, and A/B testing frameworks.
