Mid Remote Posted about 14 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Please read before applying : We review every application carefully, and all fields (including the required 60–90 second video) must be fully completed and relevant; applications that are incomplete or use AI-generated responses will not be considered. If you’re unable to meet these requirements, we kindly ask that you refrain from applying.

Full-time • Remote

At Boldin, we believe financial confidence should be accessible to everyone. Money decisions shape our lives, yet too often people are left without the clarity or tools they need to make informed choices. We exist to change that.

Boldin is a comprehensive financial planning platform that helps people understand their financial picture, make smarter decisions with their money and time, and plan for the future with confidence.

With over $20M raised and strong momentum, Boldin is entering a pivotal phase of growth. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven team and help shape the future.

About the Role

Video is becoming a core growth and education channel at Boldin.

We are hiring a Video Specialist to build and lead our video engine — from performance-driven acquisition creative to product explainers to founder-led thought leadership.

This role sits within the Brand team and works cross-functionally with Product, Support, Growth, and Leadership to ensure our video content drives clarity, trust, and measurable business impact.

You will own video strategy, planning, and execution. That includes defining priorities, managing the content calendar, producing high-performing creative, and continuously improving results based on performance data.

This is an individual contributor role with significant visibility and leverage. The right person will help define how Boldin communicates complex financial ideas clearly — and how video supports acquisition, product adoption, and long-term brand authority.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own Boldin’s Video Strategy, Planning, and Prioritization

Own the vision, roadmap, and calendar for all video content at Boldin. Determine what we produce, why we produce it, and how it supports user growth, education, and conversion. Coordinate across Growth, Product, and Brand to ensure video is timely, impactful, and strategically aligned.

Lead end-to-end video production across performance, product, and brand — from concept to final edit. Identify emerging content trends and develop brand-relevant concepts. Build a repeatable, scalable video system that supports growth and education.

2. Create High-Performing Short- and Long-Form Video Content

In partnership with our entire team, develop, test, and iterate short- and long-term video for distribute across our owned and earned channels – YouTube, socials, our own blog and marketing site, within the product, and through the press including:

  • CEO thought pieces
  • Translation of our extensive library of articles into video content
  • Financial concept explainers from our CFPÂŽ professionals and coaches
  • Product demos
  • Team highlight videos
  • And, more…

3. Create High-Performing Paid Video Creative

In addition to content for our earned and owned channels, we would like your support developing video ads for our paid media. Optimize hooks, pacing, and storytelling based on performance data in close collaboration with Growth.

KPIS + Targets

  • Earned and owned KPIs in organic and paid media.

Professional Expectations

  • Operational excellence
  • Product Activation and Retention

Qualifications:

You are both creative and analytical. You understand how storytelling, design, and performance marketing intersect — and you care deeply about clarity.

You likely bring:

  • 3+ years of professional video production and editing experience (in-house, agency, or creator-led environment) for end users, not B2B.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating:
    • Performance-driven paid ad creative
    • Product explainers or SaaS walkthroughs
    • Expert-led first-person content
  • Experience building repeatable content systems — not just one-off videos
  • An enthusiasm for the potential operational efficiencies that AI enables in this role
  • A track record of improving engagement, retention, or conversion through video
  • Strong instincts around story telling – pacing, hooks, and narrative structure – and platform-native formats
  • Comfort simplifying complex or technical topics into clear visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in professional editing and motion tools (Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects, DaVinci, or similar)
  • Familiarity with YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, and short-form formats
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Growth, Product, and Brand teams
  • A bias toward action — able to move quickly without sacrificing quality

Bonus (but not required):

  • Experience in fintech, financial education, SaaS, or consumer subscription products
  • Motion graphics and light animation capability
  • Comfort working directly with founders on camera coaching and content shaping
  • Familiarity with performance dashboards and A/B testing frameworks

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be able to own video end-to-end — concept, scripting, production, editing, and publishing
  • Operate independently in a fast-moving environment with high accountability
  • Balance creative quality with performance outcomes
  • Be comfortable receiving and incorporating direct feedback
  • Be highly organized and capable of managing a production calendar
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Care deeply about accuracy and clarity — especially when explaining financial concepts

This is an individual contributor role with significant visibility and impact. You must be comfortable working closely with leadership while maintaining strong ownership over your craft.

This is a fully remote position and is intended to be 1099 contract to hire.

Salary Range

$8,000 - $10,000/month DOE

We want to be as inclusive as possible in our hiring process. If you don’t have 100% of what we’re looking for, but feel like you’re pretty close to growing into the role — please still apply. If a candidate has only 80% of the skills but a fantastic attitude and perspective, they might be the perfect fit.

Boldin values the unique perspectives and contributions of all individuals and we strive to foster a diverse and inclusive culture. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including and not limited to people of any race, ethnicity, or national origin, individuals with differing abilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, gender minorities, women and people from underrepresented communities. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with differing abilities throughout the recruitment process. Content Designer (Freelance) at Inkitt

Creates short-form video ads for romance content by identifying hooks, writing copy, cutting clips in Premiere, and optimizing creative briefs based on social trends.

Mid Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Inkitt is building the Operating System for Storytellers, standing at the forefront of technology and entertainment.

Leveraging AI and predictive algorithms, Inkitt discovers unknown stories and turns them into blockbuster hits, producing a new $1M ebook every 7 days and selling directly to consumers through its Inkitt Galatea app. Bestsellers are then translated onto the screen through Inkitt CandyJar, the #1 US-based microdrama platform with billions of episodes streamed to date, and Inkitt Ironblood, the world’s first streaming app for superhero, sci-fi and action stories.

Inkitt has become the 11th most bestseller-generating publisher in the world, boasting a 40x higher hit-rate than traditional publishers.

Backed by some of the top VC’s such as: Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, and NEA Ventures, our recent expansion into Ironblood, the first AI Native streaming platform for action and adventure, is only the beginning of our journey to becoming the next-gen entertainment powerhouse.

What You’ll Do:

We’re a romance-focused content studio hiring an ongoing freelance Creative Strategist to ideate and cut short-form video ads (dialogue-style ads and longforms) for paid social. You’ll work from existing episode footage to brainstorm angles, pick clips, write copy/hooks, and deliver cut-ready creative briefs or edits. This is a recurring hourly engagement — we’re looking for someone who wants to plug into our team for the long haul, not a one-off project.

  • Watch episode footage and identify the selling point, hook, and cliffhanger moments
  • Build ad concepts: pick clips, write on-screen copy, select music, and map out the edit
  • Cut ads in Premiere (or hand off polished briefs with exact timestamps, copy, and song refs)
  • Iterate on winning ads — test hooks, songs, copy, and formats to push ROAS and CTR
  • Stay on top of romance trends across TikTok, Reels, and broader social + TV

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro — you can cut, not just brief
  • Native or fluent English — copy, hooks, and VO direction need to land
  • Genuinely loves the romance category — BookTok, romantasy, enemies-to-lovers, fake dating, forbidden love, etc. This is not a vibe you can fake
  • Strong pulse on social media trends (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) AND TV/streaming (what’s popular, what’s trending, what audiences crave)

$25 - $35 an hour

Content Content Lead, Startups at Ashby

Leads content strategy for startup audience, creating blog posts, SEO/AEO-optimized resources, and managing social media presence across multiple platforms.

Mid Posted 6 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Hi, I’m Anum, and I’ve led the Content team here at Ashby for the past three years. Since I started this function at Ashby, I’ve been very intentional about how we grow with big plans for the years to come. From day one, we have built high trust internally to avoid becoming a service desk for content needs and instead operating as a strategic lever that thinks critically about our audience’s needs and delivers on it consistently.

Historically, our reliance has been on data storytelling, in-person courses, our highly listened to podcast, and Ashby One conferences. By nature, a lot of this content is well suited for scaling organizations. Now, I want to take a step back and breathe life back into our blog, which we have somewhat neglected, by thinking critically about one of our most important audiences at Ashby: Our startup talent leaders and hiring-focused founders. It’s important to note these are distinct personas, though with plenty of audience overlap. It’ll be important to partner with our Startup Partnerships team in understanding the definitions and nuances of these groups.

This audience is in need of clear hiring playbooks, recruiting resources, and a lot of the foundational content that is ripe for traditional SEO. Though I’m sure it’ll come as no surprise that the big bet we need to make here is more on AEO.

To be clear, this role isn’t about churning out empty listicle content, though it does require output velocity that matches the pace at which the startup audience is moving. We’ll be thinking critically about how to create high-quality pieces that don’t sacrifice the Ashby voice, tone, or approach in order to meet an algorithmic change. We’ll also think critically about where our audience lives and breathes. This means owning X.com, which may sound a bit non-traditional to a content role, but the way we think about social media is very intentional. Different members of the team own different aspects of social to ensure our content meets the right audience in the right place and format.

You’ll also collaborate with our partnerships team, who run strategic activation for our VC talent community, to ensure that we have the right resources for their suite of programming. There’ll be more that we need to carve out and deliver over time. For now, I’m looking for someone who cares deeply about the startup community, has a deep passion for writing regularly, and who is eager to explore how to create quality content that meets AEO without sacrificing on brand reputation.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role

Develop a startup recruiting blog. You’ll be the first true owner of a blog strategy at Ashby. We’ve historically leaned on data reports, courses, and events to carry our content, so this is a genuine 0 to 1 opportunity to define what our blog stands for and how it earns a place in the startup hiring conversation.

Publish that blog consistently. Your inputs will come from SEO and AEO research, customer intel pulled from customer calls, our partnerships team, and anyone across go-to-market who has built a strong understanding of the startup audience. You’ll turn all of that into a steady drumbeat of writing that holds our quality bar.

Build a real publishing strategy for X.com . This isn’t about promoting content that already exists elsewhere. It’s about thinking critically on how we speak to startup talent leaders and founders on the channel they live on most, in a voice built for that channel (not just a repost of the blog).

Collaborate with our Partnerships team. They run strategic activation for our VC talent community, and you’ll make sure the content and resources that show up in their in-person activations and engagement campaigns are sharp, clear, and genuinely useful to the founders and talent leaders in the room.

Own the audience, not just a content type. Whether it’s a blog post or a post on X, you’re thinking end to end about what a startup talent leader or hiring-focused founder needs next, and building the content ecosystem around them accordingly.

You will probably love this role if

  • You care deeply about the startup community and want your work to genuinely help talent leaders and founders hire better.

  • You have a real passion for writing daily. This role will keep you close to the page versus managing others’ writing from a distance.

  • You’re excited by the challenge of AEO and want to earn visibility in LLM-powered search without writing to a checklist or sacrificing brand voice to chase an algorithm.

  • You think in terms of owning an audience rather than owning a content type. You’re just as comfortable figuring out what a startup founder needs to hear on X as you are shaping a blog post that ranks.

  • You’re energized by 0 to 1 work. Ashby hasn’t had a true blog owner before, so you’ll be defining what great looks like from first principles.

  • You’re comfortable being resourceful with inputs, pulling customer intel, SEO data, and partner context together into something that reads like Ashby, not a patchwork of everyone else’s priorities.

This role is not for you if

  • You only write to what the SEO recommendations tell you. This role is about creative judgment first, with SEO and AEO as inputs, not the whole brief.

  • You struggle with the idea of owning an audience versus owning a content type. If you’d rather just be “the blog writer” or “the social writer” without connecting the two around the same reader, this won’t be the right fit.

  • You want a fully built playbook to execute against. Much of this role is building the blog strategy and the X.com approach from scratch.

  • You’re not interested in the operational reality of regular publishing. This is a high-output role for someone who genuinely enjoys writing that often.

  • You’d rather work at a distance from customers. You’ll need to be close to customer calls, the partnerships team, and the broader startup community to know what’s actually worth writing about.

Interview Plan

At Ashby, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together via project working sessions. Our interview process is:

  1. 30-minute intro call (Recruiter Screen)

  2. 45-minute interview with Anum Hussain (Hiring Manager)

  3. 30-minute interview with Chris Frakes (Content Lead)

  4. A take home assignment reviewed by the hiring panel

  5. A virtual on-site of 1 hour with a panel of interviewers – this will be with Allison Schneider, Venture & Startup Ecosystem Partnership, and Hannah Small, Partnerships Team and Former Startup Sales AE

  6. A 30-minute final round with our VP of Marketing, Harriet Johnston

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity.

  • Opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team.

  • 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.

  • Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅.

  • Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise.

  • Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive!

  • $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval.

  • If you’re in the US, top-notch health insurance for you and your dependents with all premiums covered by us.

Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. I hope that excites you enough to apply.

Ashby provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

Ashby is committed to a fair and transparent hiring process. We confirm that this advertisement is for an active, existing vacancy within our organization. Please be advised that we may use artificial intelligence-driven tools to assist our recruitment team in screening, assessing, and selecting candidates for this position.
