Data Analytics Mercury: Customer Support Systems & Analytics Architect

Architect data strategy and analytics infrastructure for customer support operations, building dashboards, defining data governance standards, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Senior Remote Posted about 5 hours ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, Portland, OR, or Remote within Canada or United States

We’re looking for a Customer Support Systems & Analytics Architect to own the data strategy and reporting function within the Customer Support organisation at Mercury. As our operations grow in complexity—spanning multiple channels, an expanding BPO model, and sophisticated AI automation—we are moving away from fragmented, project-based data support toward a model of holistic ownership.

In this role, you will be responsible for how we capture, structure, and connect data across our CS systems - including Zendesk and our AI Agent - to drive informed decision-making across the team. You will ensure our systems are configured in a way that produces reliable, high-quality data, and you will translate that data into actionable insights for CS leadership and stakeholders. You’ll sit at the intersection of data, operations, and customer experience, partnering closely with CS leadership, Strategy and Ops, and cross-functional teams like Data to make sure our reporting infrastructure is built to scale. Your work will be foundational to how the CS organisation measures performance, identifies opportunities, and drives decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unified reporting and analytics: Actively build and maintain reports and dashboards that give the CS organisation clear visibility into key performance metrics, trends, and performance across channels, teams and projects  - from our internal Support team to our BPO partners.
  • CS Systems configuration and data governance: Work closely with systems admins to advise on the structural setup of our Zendesk instance across customer-facing teams, ensuring it is configured to generate clean, consistent, and reliable data while maintaining secure systems and efficient workflows.
  • Data hygiene standards: Define and enforce standards for how data is captured across CS systems so that reporting is accurate, trustworthy, and reproducible
  • AI automation data oversight: Monitor and analyse data from our AI chatbot, ensuring it is tracked in a way that supports quality reviews and decision-making across the CS organisation
  • Insights to action: Translate raw data and reporting into clear recommendations that help CS leadership make decisions on resourcing, tooling, process improvements, and strategy
  • Stakeholder support: Partner with cross-functional partners in areas like Product, Data and Strategic Finance to understand their data needs and deliver reporting that supports their goals
  • Systems evaluation: Assess the data capabilities of existing and new CS tools, and make recommendations on how to optimise our systems stack for better reporting outcomes
  • Process documentation: Document data structures, reporting methodologies, and system configurations to ensure institutional knowledge is retained and accessible across the team

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5-8 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or systems analyst role, ideally within a customer support or operations environment
  • Hands-on experience with Zendesk administration and configuration, including views, fields, triggers, and reporting, as well as using Zendesk Analytics to build reports and dashboards
  • Fluency in SQL and experience working with data and BI tools such as Omni, Metabase, or similar
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports for non-technical stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of data hygiene principles and how system configuration impacts data quality
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally across teams such as Operations, Product, and Engineering

The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have

  • Experience working with AI chatbot or conversational analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with other CS tools such as Intercom, Guru, or Rippit (formerly known as MaestroQA)
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or fintech environment
  • Background in supporting data-driven workforce planning or CS strategy initiatives

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $154,200 - $192,800
  • US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $138,800 - $173,500
  • Canadian employees (any location): CAD $145,800 - $182,200

Engineer AI Pipeline Engineer - Security Automation Platform (Imunify360) at CloudLinux

Designs and maintains automated security pipelines that convert threat intelligence into deployed protection rules across millions of websites.

Senior Remote Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Imunify360 Security Suite is a product of CloudLinux Inc., the maker of the #1 OS in security and stability for hosting providers. Imunify is an innovative security solution designed specifically for shared and VPS/Dedicated servers. The automated, easy-to-use solution with the six-layer approach to security delivers comprehensive and complete attack prevention. Check out our website for more information: imunify360.com

We are looking for an experienced AI Pipeline Engineer to own the automated pipelines that turn threat intelligence into shipped protection for tens of millions of websites.

When a new vulnerability appears, a chain of automated systems has to notice it, obtain the vulnerable source, produce WAF rules, generate tests, prove the rules work and don’t break legitimate traffic, and roll it out across tens of millions of websites; then watch production hard enough to pull it back automatically if it misbehaves. Today that chain exists and runs 24⁄7, and a single unreliable link could cost customers their protection. We are looking for a strong Engineer to expand it rapidly while keeping it reliable and transparent. This involves solving hard engineering problems, working with data at scale, in a world with many surprises.

This is not an analyst role and not a research role, but additional experience in this domain is welcome. What we need is someone who builds systems that keep working: complex logic underneath, boring and reliable on the outside. The position is fully remote with flexible hours, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.

What you would own

Systems that are in production today and need to grow considerably:

  • The automated protection pipeline — the chain from threat intelligence to a validated, deployed rule. Multi-stage, largely autonomous, and required to finish inside a fixed time window every day.
  • Progressive release automation — rolling protection out across the fleet in controlled stages, with automated guardrails that hold or roll back a stage without a human in the loop.
  • Quality gates — deciding, from live production signal, whether something we shipped is doing harm, and acting on that before it reaches the next stage. Errors are costly in both directions: miss a problem and customer sites break; over-correct and protection is silently removed.
  • CI at scale — validation that stands up real, disposable environments across a large matrix of software versions and configurations, and returns a trustworthy verdict fast enough to stay inside the release window.
  • LLM orchestration and cost control — several subsystems are driven by AI agents inside purpose-built harnesses, with evaluation, budgets and spend accounting as load-bearing components.
  • Observability and alerting across all of it — the pipelines are expected to report their own condition, prove they are healthy, and escalate on their own.

This runs on top of a petabyte-scale threat-intelligence store and live telemetry from more than 60 million websites, under strict end-to-end latency budgets measured in hours. The failure mode we care most about eliminating is a budget missed silently.

We will go into the specifics during the interview process.

Key responsibilities

  • Designing, building and operating the automated pipelines described above, end to end;
  • Turning fragile multi-stage batch jobs into resumable, idempotent, observable systems with explicit state machines and recovery paths;
  • Defining and enforcing latency budgets and SLOs per stage, and making violations visible and actionable rather than silent;
  • Building the observability layer — metrics, dashboards, alerting and health gates — so the pipeline reports its own condition instead of needing someone to go and look;
  • Designing and implementing guardrails: automatic hold and rollback, blast-radius limits, kill switches, and safe-by-default behavior when an upstream dependency is unavailable;
  • Making the systems low-maintenance: eliminating manual steps, removing standing human babysitting, and reducing the operational surface rather than adding to it;
  • Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests for logic that is genuinely hard to test — concurrency, partial failure, external API flakiness, multi-stage state;
  • Investigating and resolving complex issues across ClickHouse, GitLab CI, S3/object storage, Prometheus/Grafana and third-party APIs;
  • Collaborating with the security analysts and the Server team on architecture, and pushing back when a proposed design will not survive contact with production.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of professional backend / platform / infrastructure engineering experience;
  • Demonstrable experience building and operating multi-stage data or automation pipelines — CI/CD systems, ETL/ELT, build and release automation, job orchestration, ML/data platforms, or similar. This is the single most important requirement. We will ask you to walk us through one in detail;
  • Real depth in at least one of Python, Go or Rust. We use all three, and we are not hiring a language specialist — which one you bring genuinely does not matter. Depth is simply how we verify the experience behind it is real, so expect specific questions about systems you have designed and shipped: why they are shaped the way they are, how they behave under failure, and what you would build differently today;
  • Systems design judgement, more than raw coding throughput. The difficult part of this role is deciding what to build, working out where it will break, and making it prove its own correctness — not volume of code produced;
  • Practical experience with workflow orchestration and job scheduling (Airflow, Temporal, Prefect, Dagster, Argo, custom schedulers — whatever you have actually run in production);
  • A working instinct for reliability engineering : idempotency, retries with backoff, exactly-once vs at-least-once, checkpointing and resumability, graceful degradation, backpressure, and safe handling of partial failure;
  • Hands-on observability experience — Prometheus/Grafana, LGTM stack, or equivalent — including designing metrics rather than only consuming dashboards someone else built;
  • Deep CI/CD experience, ideally GitLab CI including dynamic/child pipelines and self-hosted runners; comfort with Docker and container-based test environments;
  • Experience with object storage (S3/Ceph or equivalent) and with large-scale analytical stores — ClickHouse or another columnar database;
  • Comfort designing state machines and long-running processes that survive restarts, and reasoning about concurrency across multiple in-flight rollouts;
  • Excellent debugging skills across system, network and data layers;
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a distributed team;
  • At least upper-intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with progressive delivery — canary and percentage-based rollouts, feature flags, automated rollback, blast-radius control;
  • Experience running AI/LLM systems in production , particularly cost control, token accounting, evaluation harnesses, and dealing with non-deterministic components inside a deterministic pipeline;
  • Experience with fleet-scale telemetry and with building quality gates on top of noisy production signal;
  • Familiarity with WordPress, PHP, or WAF/ModSecurity concepts;
  • Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Salt) and with Linux service operations.

You do not need a cybersecurity background. Most of the hard problems here are orchestration, reliability, correctness under concurrency and observability. Domain knowledge is learnable and we have specialists to learn it from — pipeline engineering judgement is what we cannot substitute.

We value engineers who are:

  • Curious and fearless problem solvers — not afraid to dig into existing systems, investigate root causes, and propose improvements;
  • Sceptical by default — who ask what would falsify a conclusion before acting on it, and who trust measurements over plausible reasoning;
  • Pragmatic and detail-oriented — focused on building reliable, maintainable systems, and allergic to solutions that require a human to remember something;
  • Owners — comfortable being the person accountable for whether a pipeline ran correctly last night;
  • Effective communicators — able to articulate ideas clearly, exchange feedback constructively, and foster collaboration across teams;
  • Engaging and proactive — contributing energy, initiative, and a positive presence that strengthens team culture.

What’s in it for you?

  • A strong focus on professional development with opportunities for learning and growth: interesting and challenging projects, mentor and other knowledge-exchange programs;
  • Fully remote work with flexible working hours, that allows you to schedule your day and work from any location worldwide;
  • Paid 24 days of vacation per year, 10 days of national holidays, and unlimited sick leaves to ensure you maintain a healthy work-life balance;
  • Compensation for private medical insurance;
  • Co-working and gym/sports reimbursement;
  • The opportunity to receive a reward for the most innovative idea that the company can patent, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.

By applying for this position, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which provides detailed information on how we maintain and handle your data.

Summary of the Role

M-Files is building a company-wide capability to operationalize AI, turning promising LLM prototypes into secure, reliable, maintainable internal tools that materially improve how teams work. This role sits within the Internal AI Solution Development team and functions as a hands-on builder, partnering with business leaders across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and other business functions to identify high-value workflows that can be accelerated with AI, reshape the underlying processes where needed, and build, deploy, and operate AI-enabled solutions end-to-end.

This is not a traditional product software engineering role, nor is it a RevOps analytics role. Instead, it is an execution-oriented AI engineering role embedded in the business. You’ll move quickly from problem definition to production, building intelligent agents and workflow automations while applying the appropriate security, governance, risk controls, and compliance expectations required for internal systems at scale.

You will leverage AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

Success in this role comes from understanding how people work, redesigning processes where appropriate, and building AI-powered solutions that teams genuinely adopt, not simply delivering technical prototypes.

What You Will Be Doing / Responsibilities and Duties

Discover & Shape High-Value AI Opportunities

  • Partner with functional leaders across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and other business functions to identify workflows where AI can remove friction, reduce cycle time, improve accuracy, or strengthen compliance.
  • Map the current-state process, identify bottlenecks and failure modes, and redesign the process to be automation-ready by clarifying inputs, outputs, decision points, data sources, controls, and ownership.
  • Define success metrics such as time saved, error reduction, throughput, adoption, and auditability, and translate business goals into a clear build plan.

Build Internal AI Agents & Automation Tools (End-to-End Ownership)

  • Design and implement internal agents and agentic workflows using modern LLM patterns, including tool use/function calling, retrieval-augmented generation where needed, structured outputs, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • Build whole-product solutions including lightweight UX, service/API layers, integrations, data access, automation triggers, and connections into business systems such as CRM, marketing automation, customer success platforms, and other internal applications as appropriate to the use case.
  • Integrate systems through APIs, authentication, structured data formats, and webhooks to enable agents to reliably read data and trigger actions.
  • Use AI-assisted development techniques to speed delivery while sustaining maintainability, readability, and quality.

Operate, Maintain & Scale (Production Mindset)

  • Own reliability, including monitoring, alerting, logging, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish repeatable patterns for onboarding new workflows and scaling existing ones through templates, shared components, evaluation harnesses, and documentation.
  • Create and maintain runbooks and lightweight training so internal teams can confidently adopt and use solutions.

Risk, Control, Oversight, Security & Compliance by Design

  • Implement appropriate guardrails including data minimization, access controls, secrets management, safe prompt and tooling patterns, output validation, and traceability.
  • Ensure solutions meet internal security and compliance expectations, including audit readiness, change management discipline, clear ownership, and relevant data privacy and consent requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation of how systems work, what data they access, and how associated risks are mitigated.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate across Business Technology, IT/Security, Legal/Privacy, and functional subject matter experts to design, approve, deploy, and drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions across the business.
  • Communicate progress through clear, concise updates and manage tradeoffs between speed and rigor.

Outcomes to Be Achieved

  • A portfolio of high-impact internal AI agents deployed into real business workflows, including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success, with measurable business outcomes.
  • A scalable operating model for internal AI, including reusable components, clear governance, and a predictable path from idea to production.
  • Reduced process friction through AI and thoughtful process redesign, not AI bolted onto broken workflows.
  • High trust in outputs through appropriate controls, auditability, and operational reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain end-to-end software from design through build, deployment, and ongoing operation, with strong engineering fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, C#, or Node.js, with comfort learning additional technologies as needed.
  • Practical experience integrating systems via APIs, authentication, and structured data formats.
  • Strong ability to work with non-technical stakeholders, translate ambiguous problems into clear specifications, iterate quickly, and drive adoption.
  • Familiarity with one or more business functions such as Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, or Customer Success, and an interest in designing AI solutions that improve how those teams work.

GTM Domain Context We Value

  • Experience integrating business or GTM systems through APIs and webhooks, including CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, customer success/support platforms, ERP, or similar enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with how GTM workflows and data operate across areas such as leads, accounts, opportunities, activities, customer engagement, and support processes.
  • Comfort working with marketing, sales, and customer data, including considerations around data quality, enrichment, privacy, and consent.

Technical Foundations We Value

  • Experience building cloud-based services and applying strong engineering practices such as CI/CD, source control, test automation, and operational monitoring.
  • Comfort with secure and scalable platform concepts including networking, identity, secrets management, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development as part of daily engineering practice.

LLM / Agent Capabilities (Core to This Role)

  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered tools and agents, including prompting, tool use/function calling, retrieval where appropriate, agent orchestration frameworks, and evaluation/quality approaches.
  • Ability to design safe and predictable AI systems through validation, fallbacks, human-in-the-loop approaches, and clear failure handling.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance expectations, including access controls, audit trails, change management, and data governance.
  • Experience modernizing processes with a Lean or operational-improvement mindset and designing systems that align with how teams actually work.
  • Experience building internal tools that drive adoption across multiple business or GTM functions.

Working Style / What Success Looks Like Here

  • You are low ego, high output: you can operate independently while collaborating naturally and bringing others along.
  • You can move fast without being reckless: you understand where to be scrappy and where additional rigor is required.
  • You care about outcomes: automation only matters if it meaningfully changes how people work and improves the metrics that matter.

Participation in our Recruitment Process:

  • To Be Determined
  • Typical interview processes including initial screening w/ a Recruiter, meeting with Hiring Manager (VP, Commercial Operations & Technology), and other internal team members the role may closely interact with

By joining M-Files, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success and growth while developing your own expertise and helping build the AI capability that changes how our teams work every day.

M-Files is a global company with Finnish roots, built around a product we are proud of.

This is an individual contributor role with significant visibility and leverage. The right person will help define how Boldin communicates complex financial ideas clearly — and how video supports acquisition, product adoption, and long-term brand authority.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own Boldin’s Video Strategy, Planning, and Prioritization

Own the vision, roadmap, and calendar for all video content at Boldin. Determine what we produce, why we produce it, and how it supports user growth, education, and conversion. Coordinate across Growth, Product, and Brand to ensure video is timely, impactful, and strategically aligned.

Lead end-to-end video production across performance, product, and brand — from concept to final edit. Identify emerging content trends and develop brand-relevant concepts. Build a repeatable, scalable video system that supports growth and education.

2. Create High-Performing Short- and Long-Form Video Content

In partnership with our entire team, develop, test, and iterate short- and long-term video for distribute across our owned and earned channels – YouTube, socials, our own blog and marketing site, within the product, and through the press including:

  • CEO thought pieces
  • Translation of our extensive library of articles into video content
  • Financial concept explainers from our CFP® professionals and coaches
  • Product demos
  • Team highlight videos
  • And, more…

3. Create High-Performing Paid Video Creative

In addition to content for our earned and owned channels, we would like your support developing video ads for our paid media. Optimize hooks, pacing, and storytelling based on performance data in close collaboration with Growth.

KPIS + Targets

  • Earned and owned KPIs in organic and paid media.

Professional Expectations

  • Operational excellence
  • Product Activation and Retention

Qualifications:

You are both creative and analytical. You understand how storytelling, design, and performance marketing intersect — and you care deeply about clarity.

You likely bring:

  • 3+ years of professional video production and editing experience (in-house, agency, or creator-led environment) for end users, not B2B.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating:
    • Performance-driven paid ad creative
    • Product explainers or SaaS walkthroughs
    • Expert-led first-person content
  • Experience building repeatable content systems — not just one-off videos
  • An enthusiasm for the potential operational efficiencies that AI enables in this role
  • A track record of improving engagement, retention, or conversion through video
  • Strong instincts around story telling – pacing, hooks, and narrative structure – and platform-native formats
  • Comfort simplifying complex or technical topics into clear visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in professional editing and motion tools (Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects, DaVinci, or similar)
  • Familiarity with YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, and short-form formats
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Growth, Product, and Brand teams
  • A bias toward action — able to move quickly without sacrificing quality

Bonus (but not required):

  • Experience in fintech, financial education, SaaS, or consumer subscription products
  • Motion graphics and light animation capability
  • Comfort working directly with founders on camera coaching and content shaping
  • Familiarity with performance dashboards and A/B testing frameworks

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be able to own video end-to-end — concept, scripting, production, editing, and publishing
  • Operate independently in a fast-moving environment with high accountability
  • Balance creative quality with performance outcomes
  • Be comfortable receiving and incorporating direct feedback
  • Be highly organized and capable of managing a production calendar
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Care deeply about accuracy and clarity — especially when explaining financial concepts

This is an individual contributor role with significant visibility and impact. You must be comfortable working closely with leadership while maintaining strong ownership over your craft.

This is a fully remote position and is intended to be 1099 contract to hire.

The Senior Social Media Strategist is responsible for turning Boldin into a daily, high-value presence in people’s lives — creating content that sparks conversation, builds trust, and drives meaningful engagement across platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, culture, data, and distribution. You will own and grow Boldin’s presence across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn — with a mandate to double followers, create viral moments, and materially increase engagement and reach.

You will collaborate closely with Content, Video, PR, Brand, and Paid Marketing to ensure Boldin shows up consistently, intelligently, and memorably across every channel.

  • Partner with video and design to create engaging short-form and long-form content

Drive engagement and community

  • Actively manage comments, conversations, and community interactions
  • Build a sense of participation, not just broadcasting
  • Develop repeatable formats that encourage sharing, saving, and discussion

Optimize for growth and performance

  • Track and improve key metrics: follower growth, engagement rates, reach, shares, saves
  • Test and iterate on formats, hooks, timing, and messaging
  • Identify platform-specific strategies to maximize performance

Collaborate across teams

  • Work with Content Lead to translate editorial into social-native formats
  • Partner with Video Lead on YouTube and short-form video strategy
  • Coordinate with PR and Brand on campaigns, launches, and narratives
  • Align with Paid Marketing on amplification and testing
  • Support company leadership, amplifying thought leadership

Success reporting

  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on traffic and funnel performance for social channels

KPIS + Targets

  • At least 2-3x growth in followers across all major platforms by year end
  • 3x++ increases in engagement rate (likes, comments, shares, saves)
  • Increased social-driven traffic and brand awareness
  • Creation of repeatable, high-performing content formats
  • Measurable contribution to overall brand and earned traffic growth

Qualifications:

You are a storyteller, strategist, and operator — someone who understands how ideas spread and how to turn content into momentum.

You likely:

  • Deeply understand how social platforms work — not just posting, but distribution dynamics
  • Have strong instincts for what makes content resonate, spread, and convert
  • Are obsessed with clarity — especially when explaining complex topics simply
  • Care about helping people improve their lives, not just capturing attention
  • Think in narratives, not just posts

Engineer Staff Salesforce Architect at Marqeta

Staff-level Salesforce architect who designs and builds complex platform solutions, conducts code reviews, leads architecture decisions, and drives AI/Agentforce strategy across GTM, support, and compliance systems.

Lead Remote Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

As Salesforce Architect, you will be the technical backbone of Marqeta’s Business Systems team, a lean, high-impact group that serves as the internal Salesforce platform team for Go-To-Market (GTM), Product Support, and Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC). This is a heavily hands-on lead individual contributor role,  you will be writing code, configuring the platform, and directly solving hard technical and business problems, not just producing designs for others to build.

We are looking for someone who has genuinely operated as an architect, owning architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and their consequences for at least 2 years, not an engineer aspiring to grow into the title. You will set the architectural direction for our Salesforce platform, conduct code reviews, lead architecture and design sessions, build and maintain the technical backlog, proactively identify gaps in systems and processes, and independently drive solutions to completion. You will also be a hands-on builder: configuring, coding, and deploying complex solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and our ongoing migration from CPQ to Revenue Cloud. You will drive our Agentforce and AI strategy, own integrations with critical systems like Ironclad, Intacct, and the broader GTM toolchain, and play a lead role in ongoing security hardening of the Salesforce org.

Your work will directly support strategic company-wide initiatives, improve customer experience, and increase productivity for internal users across GTM, support, and compliance functions.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely in the United States, only in one of our National locations, which you can review here.

The Impact You’ll Have

Architecture & Design

  • Own end-to-end Salesforce architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Revenue Cloud (including our active CPQ → Revenue Cloud migration)
  • Lead architecture and design sessions, producing clear design documents, solution options, and tradeoff analyses
  • Author and maintain coding and design standards for SFDC and ecosystem applications.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce engineering best practices, security standards, and declarative-first design principles
  • Build and maintain the technical backlog—translating platform observations, stakeholder needs, and audit findings into well-scoped engineering work
  • Proactively identify gaps in system design, data integrity, automation, and integrations; propose and deliver solutions before they become incidents
  • Conduct regular Org Health Assessments and define a continuous improvement roadmap for platform quality, security, and performance
  • Own Salesforce release management pipeline,  sandbox strategy, source code control, CI/CD tooling and assessment ensuring clean, auditable deployments

Development & Delivery

  • Design, build, test, and deploy solutions in an Agile framework using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, REST/SOAP APIs, and platform events
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of Agentforce and AI-powered automation across GTM, customer support, and compliance workflows
  • Design and build integrations with internal and external systems, including Ironclad (CLM), Snowflake, and other GTM/RevOps tooling
  • Define testing strategy, write test scripts, and execute tests to meet quality and coverage standards across releases
  • Maintain high sprint velocity while upholding code quality and documentation standards

Security & Platform Hardening

  • Own hands-on remediation of Salesforce security findings across the full spectrum, session/certificate hardening, sharing model and default access control fixes, data exposure and classification gaps, public link/OAuth and connected app governance, and secure-coding fixes (SOQL injection, XSS, hardcoded credentials, sharing violations) surfaced by code scans
  • Leverage Salesforce Shield Event Monitoring to capture and analyze login, API, and transaction logs moving from passive log collection to proactive threat detection, anomaly alerts, and audit-ready reporting
  • Design for appropriate data classification, access controls, and auditability across compliance-critical Salesforce objects
  • Evaluate and implement platform monitoring/SSPM tooling recommendations, working cross-functionally with security and compliance stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain the org’s backup and recovery solution including configuring backup schedules, monitoring job health, and running restore/recovery procedures when needed

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers on the Business Systems team
  • Partner with the Engineering Manager to scope, estimate, and prioritize platform work
  • Translate complex business requirements from GTM, LRC, and Product Support into well-architected, scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Communicate technical tradeoffs and architecture decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Lead stakeholder demos and participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of Salesforce technical experience spanning development, configuration and architecture, including at least 2 years functioning in an actual Architect capacity with a strong, defensible point of view on technical direction(owning architecture decisions and their outcomes)
  • Deep hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
  • Experience with Revenue Cloud or a strong CPQ background with a demonstrated path toward Revenue Cloud migration work
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, REST/SOAP APIs, and platform events
  • Direct experience leading or heavily contributing to a Salesforce security hardening effort
  • Proven experience conducting code reviews and enforcing engineering best practices on a platform team
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a technical backlog translating org health findings, stakeholder requests, and architectural gaps into actionable engineering work
  • Experience proactively identifying system and process gaps and driving solutions to completion without requiring explicit direction
  • Experience architecting and building integrations with external systems (CLM, ERP, data platforms, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Agentforce, Einstein AI, or other Salesforce AI/automation capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage credibly with both engineers and senior business stakeholders
  • Ability to reliably prioritize and complete work independently with minimal supervision

Nice-To-Haves

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Application/System Architect credentials or equivalent demonstrated architect-level experience
  • Experience with SSPM/security monitoring tooling (e.g. Falcon Shield, Reco) or Salesforce Shield (Event Monitoring, Field Audit Trail)
  • Salesforce Revenue Cloud or CPQ Specialist certification
  • Experience with Ironclad or other CLM platforms
  • Experience with Tableau, Snowflake, Looker, or similar data platforms in a Salesforce integration context

Engineer Staff Software Engineer, Metadata at Fivetran

Staff Software Engineer leads technical direction and architecture for metadata services in the dbt platform, mentoring engineers while owning complex subsystems and design quality.

Lead Remote Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.

Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.

Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.

As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.

During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

About the Role

Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

We’re looking for a staff software engineer to be a technical leader on our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform — the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the technical direction for the team. You’ll own the architecture of major subsystems, lead complex projects that span multiple engineers, and raise the bar for design and code quality across the team. You’ll spend your time on the hardest technical problems, and multiply the team through design reviews, coaching, and mentorship.

This is a full-time, fully remote position.

Technologies You’ll Use

Python, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex, team-level projects across the Metadata services, coordinating development across multiple engineers
  • Independently design and develop the architecture of new subsystems, and own team-level subsystems end to end
  • Use AI tooling and agents — across development and SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
  • Review and approve technical designs, ensuring they meet a high quality bar, and identify design deficiencies before they ship
  • Drive technical initiatives across the team’s responsibility areas — discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history
  • Set and uphold design, architecture, and coding best practices, and hold teammates accountable for code quality
  • Coach and mentor engineers, demonstrably improving the quality of code across the team
  • Write technical specs, document common components, and keep the team accountable for necessary project documentation
  • Fix and optimize critical parts of the codebase, drive incident follow-through, and advance the reliability and performance of the services you own
  • Participate periodically in the on-call rotation

Skills We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading complex, team-scope technical work to completion
  • Deep expertise designing and owning subsystems in distributed, cloud-based systems
  • Demonstrated ability to set technical direction for a team and drive multi-engineer initiatives across an area of ownership
  • Excellent design and architecture judgment; identifies design flaws in existing systems and proposes sound solutions with clear trade-offs
  • Writes exemplary, well-tested code that serves as a model for others, and reliably estimates and delivers sprint to sprint
  • Strong track record of raising quality through code review, coaching peers, and enforcing accepted engineering practices
  • Experience partnering with QE on test strategy and owning operational health — incidents, post-mortems, reliability, and performance
  • Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and managing dev infrastructure
  • Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts — and able to model those practices for a team

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience architecting metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
  • Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
  • Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

California Pay Range

$183,000 - $245,000 USD

Perks and Benefits
